Supported platforms

Glink Enterprise and Profession Editions are developed and released in parallel. The latest release runs on all Windows releases currently supported by Microsoft, including XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 and 2008 on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. The Professional and Enterprise Editions are designed for the 32/64 bit Windows environment, and are the platforms for all future Glink development.

As Microsoft releases new versions of Windows, new updates or releases of Glink Enterprise and Professional Edition will be qualified for the new Windows platforms.

  • Glink for Windows, Enterprise Edition is the server side version of Glink, licensed by number of simultaneous sessions.
  • Glink for Windows, Professional Edition is the workstation version of Glink, licensed by number of seats.
  • Glink for Windows, Standard Edition is in maintenance status, and will not be updated for qualification with Windows XP or newer versions of Windows.
  • Glink for Macintosh is discontinued, and has been replaced in the G&R product range by Glink for Java™.
  • Glink for DOS is in maintenance status, and although we update it as far as possible for our existing users with service agreements we do not add new functionality.
